Patanjali Kesh Kanti Milk Protein Hair Cleanser Review

Patanjali Milk Protein Shampoo

Patanjali Kesh Kanti Milk Protein Hair Cleanser

Hi everyone,

I had ordered for some patanjali products last week and got it after a day placing the order. The temperature here in Bangalore is already at peak. And as the days are scorching and nights is humid I need to wash my hair every other day. I needed some mild and ayurvedic shampoo I came across this shampoo while placing order for my patanjali haul. The words milk and protein attracted me because my hair feels like straw after drying.

I use panteen and dove conditioner but its not sufficient for my dry hair.  I some times use EV olive oil mixed with Vit E capsule as a serum and it works after that my hair becomes soft and shiny. I always apply coconut oil a night before washing my hair. So when I saw that the product has milk protein in it and suitable for dry hair then I thought to give it a try. The patanjali products are effective and affordable.

My hair type and length:-

I have dry and rough hair with a few split ends which reaches few inches  above my elbow.

Product Claim:-

Useful in dryness & roughness of hair. Prevents hair fall & improves hair shine.

Patanjali Milk Protein Shampoo

Price:-

INR 95 for 200ml

Shelf Life:-

24 months from the date of mfd.

Directions for use:-

Apply 2-5 ml on wet hair, massage gently for 1 minute and then rinse with water.

My opinion on the product:-

The shampoo is pearly white and a little runny. The smell is sweet and light which will not irretate your nose. The shampoo is mild and does the job of cleaning of hair very well. When I oil my hair I need a little more to take the oil out of my hair. I use conditioner with this shampoo and satisfied with the result. It does not dry out my hair and make it rough it makes my hair soft.

Patanjali Milk Protein Shampoo

It has increased the volume of my hair and I haven’t faced any hair fall problem after using this shampoo. I like what it has done to my hair my hair is now soft and silky but it did not bring any extra shine to my hair. Anyways a hair serum or a few drops of almond oil can take care of that. If you want a shampoo which can make your hair look healthy and lively then you could try this out. It is not very expensive and is without any side effects.  Always keep in mind that if you use any ayurvedic product don’t rinse it immediately leave it for a while and then wash it.

What I liked:-

  • Economical
  • Ayurvedic
  • Very mild
  • Does not strip off moisture and natural hair oil
  • Sturdy flip cap packaging
  • Pleasant and light smell
  • SLES free
  • Made my hair soft and silky

What I didn’t liked:-

Does not give extra shine to your hair

Will I repurchase and recommend:-

Yes

Rating:-

4/5

Update:-

Before writing this review i had used this shampoo for few weeks but had also used shampoo from other brands also and I was happy with the result. But when i used this shampoo alone for 3-4 months I faced severe hair fall. Now i have stopped using this shapoo. I wasn’t sure its the shampoo or some other problem (sickness, water change etc.). I tried this shampoo on my daughter’s hair also, for few weeks it was all fine but after about a month using this shampoo alone my daughter is also facing same problem. Now her hair sheds more while combing. After few months of using this shamoo I have come to the conclusion that this shampoo doesn’t suits us at all. Have you used this shampoo ? Please share your experience with me.

    1. Try using shampoo that gives minimal hair fall. I have used dove and panteen (both hair fall control varient)in past and they are good. Patanjali kesh kanti shampoo also works to keep hair fall under control. If you want to grow your hair faster and longer use hair oils like trichup (I have heard good reviews, but haven’t used) and apply castor oil mixed with coconut oil (which I use).

    1. I am using Sunsilk Lusciously Thick & Long shampoo right now and I really like that it doesn’t dry my hair out. Conditioners are good if you have long hair Also never use the conditioner on your scalp its only for your hair. Conditioners also help in detangling your hair and makes hair soft.

    1. Hi Anushka,
I also face the same problem and switched to my trusted Pantene anti hair fall shampoo which suits me very well please check the review here-https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.themirroronmywall.com/1833-2/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjumtu63dnPAhUTzWMKHSlBDPgQFggFMAA&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNFulUN1NCmJoriZAwzrXME7sZ3kYw.
