Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme in Sheer Bare Review

Sally Hansen LipGloss SheerBare

Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme in Sheer Bare

I got this lip gloss with my Vellvette Box August 2013 Edition and it was full pack. This is my first lip gloss from this brand and the color that I got is in sheer bare.  This lip gloss will give immediate visible results, smoothing fine lines and aiding in lip hydration, and resulting in plumper lips. I liked  lipsticks mostly than lip glosses as they lasts for long but lip glosses needs to apply many times.

Product Claim:-

The dramatic solution for full, smooch able lips. Micro-spheres with exclusive Hydro-Collagen Complex help boost fullness and shine to the extreme. Spicy gloss enhances lips’ natural color so they appear pinker, healthier and fuller (on its website).

My opinion on the product:-

When I opened my Vellvette box I was happy to see the lip gloss and other products. I applied this lip gloss and got tingling effect which lasted for about a minute. The tingling effect was more like burning sensation. But is gone after sometime and you can tell that it worked to plump lips instantly. But if you have very thin lips you won’t see much drastic effect. It would make your lips look fuller slightly but the changes won’t be extreme.

When my daughter saw me applying the gloss she wanted to apply on her lips too. So I got some gloss on the brush and applied on her lips. She didn’t liked the tingling effect and washed it off.

Shade:

The shade that I have got is in sheer bare which is in flesh tone and it is not transparent but translucent. When applied on lips it doesn’t gives much coverage and is sheer it can be worn alone to get nude lips and also over alipstick.

Texture: The texture is slightly sticky and thick when applied. It also hydrates and actually made my lips some shades ligher even after the gloss was gone (skin lightening doesnt lasts for long).

Fragrance: Fragrance is of cinnamon and I think You can taste it too in the gloss. Most of lip plumping gloss containing cinnamon is common. If you want to have plumped lips without applying the gloss you can apply cinnamon paste on your lips and this will instantly plump your lips.

Staying power: Staying power is very average for a gloss and you need to apply after every 1-2 hour and also after eating.

Pigmentation: Highly the color itself is in sheer bare which is little translucent and gives nude color on lips.

Packaging:  The product comes in a transparent glass tube pack with golden cap. The applicator is good which is a brush and not regular doe foot applicator.

What I Liked:-

  • Smooth and easy to apply.
  • Nice packaging.
  • Good applicator.
  • Less sticky than other brands.
  • Actually plumps lips.
  • Hydrates lips and makes it soft.
  • Makes lips some shades lighter temporarily.
  • Can be worn alone to get nude lips or over a lipstick.

What I didn’t Liked:-

  • Only three shades selection – Sheer Bare, Sheer Pink and Clear(On website here).
  • Pricey.
  • Smells of cinnamon which may be a con for some but it is fine with me.
  • Tingling sensation which lasts for sometime.

Will I repurchase and recommend:-

May bee some other shade. It smells ans tastes od cinnamon people who are allergic to cinnamon and have sensitive lips should avoide this. But overall it is a nice lip gloss which actually plumps my lips and make it soft.

Rating:-

4/5

  1. I have also heard of using vaseline and I know that works, but I also heard if you mix olive oil and honey and apply a thin coat to your lips that is susoeppd to help. The one reason I don’t always recommend vaseline is that some people get canker sores from using it. +5Was this answer helpful?
